Orbiters Brian Lee, Steve Yonck, and Guy Quintino join Drummerboy Jeff Hayes to perform for the 2012 "Hands With Heart" Gala event. The event benefits the Nick of Time Foundation, which works with schools to prevent sudden cardiac arrest deaths among young athletes through screening, CPR training, and AED (defibrillator) training and placement in area schools. The event features a reception, dinner, auction, and live music from Drummerboy. The event begins at 6PM, and music starts at approximately 9:15PM.

Michoacan Mexican Restaurante began their new music series in October 2011, and the Orbiters are pleased to have been the first band to perform. At that time, the music events were held on a monthly basis. The Orbiters return to Michoacan on March 24, and the music series is now weekly, with bands every Saturday!
Michoacan is conveniently located in the Crown Hill/Ballard area, on 15th Ave NW, just south of its intersection with NE 85th St. They serve great, authentic mexican food, and have a nice large banquet room supporting live music every Saturday. There's no cover, and the music runs from 8-11PM. Nice!

Third Place Books makes a really positive contribution to the local community with these music events, which are pleasant gatherings suitable for all.
